TEDxLisboa - Natalia Juskiewicz - Um Violino no Fado

Natalia Juskiewicz is a violinist who was born in Koszalin, Poland, and has lived in Portugal for several years. Holds a diploma in classical studies of violin at the Academy of Poznan, one of the most prestigious schools in the world, began his musical career as a solo performer and integrating Polish formations and orchestras of international standing.
During a vacation, fell in love with Portugal and decided to move. Adapted herself to the language, culture and way of being of the Portuguese. In the new land, developed a varied career path, whether solo or part of numerous orchestras and musical groups, activities that led her to travel extensively around the country where they now feel at home.
Earlier this year, took the first step to attaining a very personal artistic desire: a disc of classic fado where, for the first time, traditional voice is replaced by the violin. The project, currently under implementation, is entitled "A Fiddler in Fado."

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
